Some of you have been thinking about coming out, but haven’t joined us yet. Time to get our rears in gear.
With less than 4 months till the Phx Marathon, it is time to start training or at least build a base till we start the 3 month schedule in early December. In November we will build a base and leg strength thru hills and moderate distance, plus some speed work.
I’m following the “Run Less, Run Faster” 3 hard days/week, plus some riding, lifting, cross-fit (Insanity) and yoga the other days, which feel great and help you avoid injuries and have quality runs on the hard run days.
T 5:15 am Scoresby 3 mile warm up followed by McDowell hill repeats and a cool down
W 5:15 am ride, lift, cross-fit or rest
Th 5:15 am 10 mile (or less if you need to) big loop
F lift, cross-fit or rest
Sat 5:30 am run 13-14 miles
